and the Keyword Researcher which helps you dig deep into the long tail of a specific keyword.

When should you use each tool?

The Keyword Universe is the tool to use when:

You're just starting out and you want to generate a list of relevant keywords
You want to explore your market, find out what keywords other websites are using and expand your content
You've reached a plateau with your PPC campaigns and you want to find more groups of keywords that you could develop

The Keyword Researcher is the tool to use when:

You collected a good seed list of keywords and you want to check out which are the most popular
You've found some good keywords that are converting well on PPC and you want to see how those exact keywords are used in longer search terms
You've got some keywords and you want to see how they can be combined and ordered to give you more.
